Lemme introduce myself. My name's Kira, and currently I'm the keyboard player and lead and background singer for the band of musical geniuses, Thought Contagion. The only girl in the band, I'm seventeen, and I've just finished my junior year of high school. I'm pretty much your typical band geek, and I participate in Concert Choir, Jazz Choir, Wind Ensemble and Jazz Ensemble, playing various instruments and trying to sing. Music is pretty much all there is to me, and I plan to major in some form of music performance or theory or film scoring or something not yet determined...

Hmm, what else... A week ago, I would have told you that my favorite genre of music (if you must categorize) was emo. Now, thanks to the guys, I'm wicked into the whole prog thing. What's really kind of funny is that it's the complete opposite of the emo I was into so deeply. It's just wicked great stuff, and I love it. Also, a friend of mine on the west coast got me into this Seattle band, Pink Martini. They're totally unlike prog or emo or rock, but are awesome nonetheless. They do a wicked cover of "Que Sera Sera." and if you're into checking out new and different music, definitely look into them.

And, of course, before you check anything else out, you must go to the newly updated sound clips page and listen to some of the latest Thought Contagion material. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.
